Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Solving industrial fluid flow and heat transfer problems involves multidimensional approach, forming ideal physical model, developing a mathematical model, physical experimentation at different scales. However, performing physical experiments are very time consuming and expensive. To counter such problems, numerical simulations based on the mathematical model is carried out i.e. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a branch of Fluid Mechanics provides numerical solutions by utilizing the advanced computational power and set of algorithms developed to solve industrial scale problems like Fluid Flow, Heat Transfer, Combustion, multiphase, HVAC, Chemical Reaction, Nuclear etc. Currently, there are various commercial (ANSYS Fluent, CFX, COMSOL Multiphysics, STAR-CD, Fluidyn etc.) and open-source CFD codes/software (OpenFOAM, SU2 Code, Salome etc.) available to provide CFD solutions. Ideametrics always updated with CFD technology developments.
